Who We Are Looking For, and What We Have to Offer
Our team is looking for a Deficiencies Foreman (Road Construction) for our Grande Prairie location. This is a full-time seasonal position. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

Specific Location and Start Times:
  • Based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta but will travel according to the jobs.
  • Anticipated start date: as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior workers.
  • Hold safety/tailgate meetings on site.
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Have an understanding and the ability to operate all equipment on a standard base crew.
  • Administrative duties: Employee timesheets, safety reports, ordering materials, scheduling trucks.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising a crew.
  • Extensive road construction experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in municipal infrastructure (manholes, water valve, curb & gutter, Asphalt, GPC, etc.)
  • 2 years’ experience with concrete & asphalt repairs.
  • 2 years’ experience operating skid steer & excavator.
  • Be an exceptional leader with outstanding people management skills.
  • Have a valid driver's license and driver’s abstract according to company policy.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and travel, with crews, as projects and locations may vary throughout the summer.
  • As this is a safety sensitive position, pre-employment drug screening is in effect.
  • Have excellent organizational capabilities and able to communicate effectively.
  • Possess strong problem solving and time management capabilities.
  • Meet all Safety requirements and policies by leading by example in maintaining a safe work site, during the operation of company vehicles and while running equipment.
