Job Overview: As a Sales Manager you will assume a pivotal role in leading and managing a high-performing sales team. Your primary focus will be to cultivate the skills and capabilities of your team members, enabling them to achieve company sales targets and drive business growth. You will be expected to provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team members, while also monitoring sales activities and performance against key performance indicators. The Sales Manager will report directly to the VP of Business Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales approaches.
- Collaborate with our products and services teams to develop sales collateral, pricing strategies, and product/service positioning.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a customer-centric mindset.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of sales techniques and customer relationship management.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales productivity tools.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to coach and guide the sales team, meet with clients and attend industry events.
· Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or relevant field (preferred).
